What is Winter Guard?

Winter Guard is an indoor competitive team. It takes traditional color guard (as seen with a marching band) and brings it inside front and center performing to recorded music in competitions around the country. Winter Guard is an incredible blend of athleticism, dance, and drama.

Do I have to be in Color Guard to join Winter Guard?
We have many members who play instruments in the fall and in the concert bands who spin with us who picked up a flag just this year! However-joining the Corning Painted Competition Band Color Guard in the fall is a great way to  get some experience.
