Mr. Donald Allen – Director
Donny Allen has been involved in music education for over four decades. A band director at Corning Painted Post School District, Mr. Allen has many laurels to his credit (including many New York State Championships, National and World Championships). Mr. Allen presently continues in his own business of music education, arranging, adjudication and consulting, while teaching band high school full time. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Empire State College and is a certified K-12 music teacher in New York State. Donny also has a Masters of Music Education from University of New York at Buffalo.
Donny's involvement in music education also includes arranging music and consulting for marching bands in New York State. Many of these bands have been consistent champions in their class. This includes award winning high school bands from East Irondequoit High School, Jordan Elbridge High School, Copiague High School, Hicksville High School, Garden City High School, Pioneer High School, Corning-Painted Post High School and many more nationally. He is an active adjudicator and clinician for the New York State Field Band Conference, Youth Education in the Arts, US Bands, and the Cavalcade of Bands. Mr. Allen also plays trumpet professionally with many bands in different genres in upstate New York. Mr. Allen is also the former Assistant Director for athletic bands at the University of New York at Buffalo.
Mr. Allen has achieved first place gold medals in every division in Drum Corps Associates, from the individual level in trumpet performance to the World Class. Included in his drum corps experiences are music director and brass arranger with the Rochester Crusaders, Empire Statesmen and Syracuse Brigadiers during the years 1990-1997. Those corps were “Open Class” World Champions.
Donald Allen is an active member of the prestigious World Drum Corps Hall of Fame since 1995 and the President of the Bugler’s Hall of Fame.

Mr. Joseph Stork – Assistant Director
Mr. Stork is a full time band director and instrumental music teacher at CPP where he directs the Competition Band, Symphonic Band and Indoor Drumline as well as co-directs the Hawks Marching Band.  Mr. Stork has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College as well as a Masters of Music Education Degree from the University at Buffalo.
Mr. Stork has 8 years of drum corps marching experience, aging out of the Madison Scouts in 2012.  Additionally, Mr. Stork has been on the staff with several state champion marching band programs, world finalist indoor percussion ensembles and is currently the Staff and Ensemble Coordinator at the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps.
This is Mr. Stork’s third year as assistant director of the CPP Performance Band.

Mrs. Judi Gridley – Majorettes Adviser
Judi Gridley has been the Majorettes adviser for CPP starting with Corning West.  She has been the adviser of the CPP majorettes for around three decades and has made the Majorette program and twirling in Corning a culture of success and a source of pride for the community, bringing home numerous local, regional and state championships in twirling.

Mrs. Kira Farley – Dance Machine Adviser
Kira was born into this activity due to her parents’ involvement with drum corps. When she was old enough to stand, she had a flag in her hands. She marched drum corps from 1992-2004 with Spectrum Drum Corps, The Bluecoats Drum Corps, and The Brigadiers Drum Corps. She marched Campbell-Savona’s 1996 WGI A Class Finalist Royal Blue Winter Guard from 1993-1998.
Kira was a Guard tech at Skyliners Drum Corps in 2018 and the 2019 summer as a tech at White Sabers. She has had the distinct honor of directing the color guard program at Corning-Painted Post HS Competition Band and the Winter Guard since 2015.

Mr. Rick Morey – Drill Design
Rick has been teaching and writing in New York State for decades.  He has numerous state titles to his marching band resume including New Hartford, Jamestown and Corning-Painted Post, just to name a few.  Rick is a member of the New York State Field Band Conference Hall of Fame.
